A System-First Approach That Aligns Packs, SKUs, and Digital Channels

Packaging Design

Packaging Design for Product Ranges

From Architecture and Claims to Barcodes and Cartons

Design That Scales Across SKUs

We start with a range audit and SKU map. That includes pack sizes, pack types, target retailers, regulatory needs, and production constraints.

Then we build the range architecture. Clear rules for masterbrand, sub-brand, flavour or variant, pack size, colourways, and icon sets. Front panels prioritise what sells at a glance. Back panels carry structured data for ingredients, usage, directions, and warnings with space for translations where needed.

Next comes artwork and systems. Templated InDesign files, component libraries, and locked content zones for legal text. GS1 barcodes are specified with the right symbology and magnification. Dielines are layered for cutters, varnish, foils, and white plates. We produce 3D pack renders and photography from the final artwork, then supply e-commerce images, shippers, and pallet labels so logistics stays in step.

GS1 and Labelling Compliance

Correct GTINs, EAN-13, ITF-14, and GS1-128 specs, quiet zones, and magnification. FSANZ, TGA, AICIS, and GHS requirements handled without guesswork.
Range Architecture and Visuals

Rules for brand, variant, and size. Colour systems that read at 2 metres. Templates that keep every SKU consistent through refresh cycles.
Press-Ready Artwork and Proofs

PDF/X-4 files with dielines, bleed, traps, and special finishes set right. Drawdowns and wet proofs to lock colour before production.

Make the Line-Up Obvious on Shelf and Online

Range Architecture and SKU Systems

We define the building blocks of your range so shoppers can find the right product quickly and your team can extend it without redesigning from scratch. That includes naming conventions, front-of-pack hierarchy, variant colour rules, iconography, and size cues that read at distance. Accessibility is baked in with contrast checks and type sizes that hold up on small labels. We create a template set in Adobe CC with locked legal zones, variable data fields for batch and best-before coding, and shared libraries for symbols and claims. Each template links to your product data, which supports fast updates and consistent exports for print, 3D renders, and e-commerce images. When you add a new flavour or size, you update data, not the system.

GS1, Labelling Standards and Printer Handover Without Rework

Compliance and Production Ready Artwork

We allocate or validate GTINs and set the correct barcode for each level of packaging. EAN-13 for retail units, ITF-14 for cartons, GS1-128 with SSCC for pallets. Magnification, bar width reduction, and quiet zones are specified for substrate and print process. We prepare dielines with non-print cutter layers, bleed, trapping, overprint settings, and separation plates for varnish, foils, emboss, and white underprint on films. Colour is managed with Pantone or CMYK builds, press profiles, and drawdowns for approval. Files ship as PDF/X-4 with packaged source files if required. We handle FSANZ nutrition panels, Country of Origin marks, ARL recycling labels, GHS pictograms, AICIS identifiers, APVMA numbers, and TGA statements where applicable. Your printer gets a spec sheet and a preflighted file set they can run.
